Spectrum Health Services, Inc. (SHS) was established in 1967 as a non-profit community health center in Philadelphia. It started with the opening of Greater St. Matthews Medical Health Center and expanded over the years to include additional clinics such as Christian Street Medical Health Center, Clara Baldwin Medical Health Center, and Haven House Medical Health Center.
In 1984, the organization changed its name to Spectrum Health Services, Inc. and became a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). It continued to expand its services and opened the Haddington Health Center in 1984, Broad Street Health Center in 1994, and Reed Street Health Center in recent years.
SHS has been dedicated to providing comprehensive healthcare services to the residents of Philadelphia, including medical care, dental care, OB-GYN services, podiatry, behavioral health services, and more. They have received recognition for their commitment to quality care and have been designated as a Level-3 Patient-Centered Medical Home by the National Committee for Quality Assurance.
In 2023, Spectrum Health Services opened its fourth location at Cottman Avenue to serve individuals in the Northeast communities of Philadelphia.
